For those seeking the most detailed view of the proposed Keystone XL route, KMZ files are available for download.
Using Google Earth, these files map available data found in the Department of State’s Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS), offering detailed views of the proposed Keystone XL corridor from Montana to Texas.
Included are milepost markers, waterbody crossings, the 500′ construction corridor (not available in all browsers), and gas and water wells.
Due to the inadequacy of the FEIS and TransCanada’s unwillingness to make full disclosure to the public and state agencies, the maps are incomplete. They are updated as data becomes available.
